Why Greensboro:

The history, culture, and social capital. Greensboro is filled with people who are truly committed to enhancing the quality of life for its citizens. Taking a stroll along Elm Street is one of my favorite things to do. It's hard to imagine how much downtown has changed and what the future holds for our new vibrant city.

MORE STORIES

YOUNG PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Future Fund

The Future Fund, an initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, is a fresh approach to philanthropy. Its members are a group of young leaders from the Greensboro area who are committed to making our community a better place and improving the quality of life for all of our citizens. Future Fund members have this impact on their community by contributing to a permanent endowment that makes grants to build a better Greensboro. Each Future Fund member contributes $125 each to an endowment that makes grants to launch new projects and initiatives that are selected by Future Fund members. By pooling their funds together, emerging leaders are given a "seat at the table" in Greensboro, and are able to create an impact far greater than each individual could do on their own. The bigger the endowment, the greater the impact.

  • Business Development - entrepreneurship, business trainings
  • Community Development - community fundraising/service, government involvement
  • Individual Development - personal and professional development, family and spiritual
  • International Development - explore different cultures, develop international partnerships
