MAKING CONNECTIONS AROUND THE TABLE
Making Connections Around the Table gives young professionals the opportunity to get up-close and personal with Greensboro’s movers-and-shakers. In the past, Making Connections has featured area leaders in business, education and the nonprofit sector, from University Chancellors to Mayors to CEO’s.
Held every other month, these intimate dinners allow attendees the chance meet new friends, see old ones and get to know an interesting presenter.
Making Connections Around the Table alternates between the O’Henry and Proximity Hotels. The ticket price includes dinner, drinks and plenty of interesting conversation.

Bobby Long, Chairman of the Piedmont Triad Charitable Foundation
Bobby Long will speak on leadership and advice for young professionals in Greensboro. Tickets are $25 for Young Professionals and $45 for General Admission. Tickets include a three course meal and one drink coupon.
About Bobby Long:
- Co-founder and partner of Long Miller & Associates in Greensboro, which was sold in 2002.
- Currently a partner in Shelby Capital, a capital management company for financial institutions.
- Chairman of the Piedmont Charitable Foundation that manages the Wyndham Golf Championship.
- Serves on the board of the Bryan Foundation and the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. He also serves on the Elon University Board of Trustees and the Elon University School of Law Board of Advisors.
