synerG initiatives
synerG's focus areas for young professionals
Through our efforts with various community partners and active synerG members, we have focused our current work on several initiatives, including:
Every month, synerG On Tap hosts a free, informal event to help connect young professionals within the Greensboro community. These events generally take place on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at various locations.
These bi-monthly dinner events are a unique opportunity to enjoy an evening of good conversation, company, and food while getting to know the inner workings of the Greensboro community.
The Making Connections Around the Table dinner program features Greensboro “guests of interest” who talk about pertinent issues and topics of life in the Greensboro and Triad Community. These events generally take place the 2nd Tuesday of every other month.
The Leadership Initiative is a web portal that allows young professionals to express interest in volunteer service/leadership opportunities throughout Greensboro and Guilford County and also allows the related civic and community organizations looking for new leadership access to the profiles of young talent. More information on this initiative and how to get involved.
Why Triad InternNet? synerG is collaborating with others across the region to develop the Triad InternNet which will serve as an internship/co-operative matching initiative linking employers, students, community colleges, colleges, and universities by providing both high-tech and high-touch support with an over-arching goal of creating regional economic stability in the Piedmont Triad.
YP Sports - if you would like to play sports with other Greensboro-area Young Professionals, look no further! We're active in leagues, pick-up games and tournaments.

Free wifi is available on South Elm Street from February One Place to McGee Street and in Center City Park (mainly outdoors although some connectivity may be available inside buildings). GoTriad.com, Time Warner Cable Business Class, IT Training & Solutions, the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, the Weaver Foundation, and Phoenix networks have made this free service a reality for area citizens and visitors.
