Spring has sprung and that means outdoor fitness and other activities abound all around Greensboro!

Yoga

Center City Park is partnering with Greensboro Downtown Yoga to offer FREE 8 weeks of Spring Yoga in the Park; Thursdays 5:45 – 6:45 pm from April 6 – May 25. To learn more about this offering, check out the Greensboro Downtown Yoga event page.

Speaking of yoga, Class on the Grass at the Grasshopper’s Stadium last year was such a success, it is being held again this year on April 30 at 3pm! Lululemon Athletica is hosting again alongside Dancing Dogs Yoga, Downtown Greensboro and Natty Greene’s Brewing Co. Registration is FREE but register early to be entered into a drawing for great prizes! Register at Class On the Grass!

Want a little beer with your exercise? Yogammunity at PigPounder is offered Saturday mornings at 11 am! Participate in an hour long yoga class then enjoy a beer in the tasting room or on the Patio. Gibb’s Hundred also has yoga and beer on Sunday mornings!

Another yoga opportunity is available at LeBauer Park hosted by Dancing Dogs Yoga, the only power yoga studio in Greensboro. Dancing Dogs is offering a 45-minute session for all levels on May 17,  May 31 and June 28. Learn more about Dancing Dogs here. Bootcamp

RAM Fitness Bootcamp’s being held on Saturdays in April at LeBauer Park at 9 AM. It is a 45 minute total body work out using your own bodyweight to burn fat! (No equipment needed!) For more information, visit the RAM Fitness Bootcamp Facebook event page.

The Greenway will continue to host their free fitness class in partnership with the YMCA. Tuesdays at the Trailhead offers a different class each week on Tuesdays at 6 PM in Morehead Park.  Keep an eye out on the Greensboro Downtown Parks website for the 2017 schedule.

Running

Is running a little more your speed? Greensboro offers a plethora of running events from 5K’s to Full Marathons! Check out Greensboro Race Series which includes several up and coming Triad races all for a good cause!

Greensboro Science Center will be hosting a unique race to raise money to save endangered African Penguins.  The 2017 Tuxedo Trot 5K and Kids Fun Run will be held on Saturday, May 20.  For event details, visit http://www.tuxedotrot.com/.
