In February and March, Guilford County voters have an important opportunity to participate in the 2026 Primary Election. The Primary Election is Tuesday, March 3, with early voting February 12 through February 28. Use the information below to make your voting plan and make your voice heard.

So, what is the Primary Election?
The Primary Election is when people vote to decide which candidate will represent each political party for several elected seats in the General Election in November 2026. It’s not the “final decision” yet. It’s the step where we decide who gets to be on the final ballot later this year. If you don’t vote in the primary, you are letting other people choose who ends up on the ballot in November.
